I am a retired traffic signal technician and army veteran.
I also raced against Don Garlits in the NHRA top fuel division and beat him most of the time.

Re: Anything close to Ranger reliability?

The 3.7 and 3.5 coyote engines are extremely reliable.....I do expect the 3.3 to be just as dependable.

Re: Anything close to Ranger reliability?

The F150 stock V6 3.5 and 3.3 plus the ecoboost kick the Tacoma's ass in fuel economy whether it has the 4 or 6 cylinder.

Re: Need front car Y-pipe. 2000 3.0 XLT

With all the jobs you claim you have, I can't possibly understand not having enough money for a new part.
Buying a used cat converter is hilarious.

Re: 93 4.0 engine sluggish problem when cold

Did you test drive it before the repairs? Did this start happening after you replaced the bearings and brakes?
Rule out the simple stuff first. Replace the fuel filter, spark plugs. The truck could...

Re: (PA) '01 Ranger XLT - 45k Miles - NO RUST

$10,000 for an 18 year old Ranger........good luck with that.
Brush guard on a "Babied" 2wd Ranger is comical.

Re: oil pump

If you ran the engine with a bad oil pump, you will have to pull and replace the engine anyway.

Re: Keyless Entry System

Since the pad is just stuck onto the body, it would have to operate off of a small battery.

Re: Keyless Entry System

I never heard of a keypad option on a Ranger, that was added by a previous owner.
Is there a problem with it?

I hope he doesn't put a fat girl in the truck, that might be too much for the frame.

Re: 2000 2WD 3.0- Beginners Build

Camber is not adjustable from the factory on 98-2011 Rangers....an adjustable cam for camber adjustment must be added. The fee for that is not a ripoff.
Chances are the frame is out of specs, if...

Re: Oil pressure gauge

100% correct......if the oil pressure gauge is reading anything other than half scale or pegged to the left, something in the sensor or gauge is off.

Re: F150 is really big

The front clip of the 2018 Tacomas are FUGLY and the fuel economy is pathetic.........my 2015 F150 with the base V6 engine gets better fuel economy than the 2.7L 4 banger.
