Re: Feels like I'm driving on a flat? ('09 FX4, 18k KM)

Not sure yet, I haven't had the chance to take a look. I took it for a bit of a drive today and noticed that it's also pulling lightly to the right and wobbles a bit when I move the steering to the...

Okie dokie. I'll plop on my spare and drive to the shop, then! I'll follow-up when I get the chance.

Re: Feels like I'm driving on a flat? ('09 FX4, 18k KM)

I was installed in a shop, and balanced (at least, there's a weight on it). Still worth checking out?

Re: Feels like I'm driving on a flat? ('09 FX4, 18k KM)

Wouldn't that cause pressure issues with the tire though, or would the tire 'flex' to the shape?

Either way, I'll look into that. Can't imagine it'd cost me much.

Feels like I'm driving on a flat? ('09 FX4, 18k KM)

2009 FX4, 18,000 KM, no 'Check Engine' light, no tire pressure issues, nothing visibly wrong (that I can see as a "non mechanic")

Maybe I'm going crazy but the truck feels a little unstable; like...

Re: ONT ranger meet !!! ???

Man, that's a few hundred bucks of gas for me. Just a little out of my reach for now.

Re: Headliner Is a Bi@tch any tips

Take out the seats. Four bolts per seat, plus the airbag sensor connector and save yourself some trouble, if the seats are getting in the way that is.

Re: Rangers with 31's

In my opinion, and take it for what it's worth, 31" on stock, 32" with a 2" lift. I'm rolling 31" on stock and I can't imagine going bigger without rubbing.

Re: Thinking of painting of my truck.

Here are the three colors you've provided. It was a little hard to match the colors due to lighting and all, but I tried. I can't do real white simply because I'm "tinting" your current color, hence...

Re: Thinking of painting of my truck.

Here you go. I've uploaded the .PSD on my server (http://www.steelfrog.com/uploads/Roadkill.psd) if you want to toy around with it. Just adjust the Hue/Saturation layer.
[EDIT] Oh wait, did you want...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread

Finally got my audiophile subwoofer going. Had to install a small amp under the passenger seat. All I have to do now is route the cables under the center console and under the carpet to finish...

I want to go from this:

To this:

Of course, this very much depends on the cash flow. Also, that's not a shot of my truck. Just one I...

Re: Going through the firewall

Good news, I got it! I'm now running a small amp under my passenger seat to power my Audiophile amp. Nice little sound that takes up no room at all in my cab. I'm quite happy with the result. Thanks,...

Re: Going through the firewall

I'll take a look. I''m pretty sure I had glanced at that hole in particular but it had a hard, plastic cap on the engine's side. I'm also using a low-gauge wire, so it may be tricky. I'll definitely...

Question Going through the firewall

Did you guys need to drill a hole through the firewall when you installed your amps, or is there one I'm not seeing I could use?

I don't think my little 18v drill can handle that.

Re: Help deciphering Ford's wiring codes (stock subwoofer)

Okay, so I've spent a lot of time on this, posted on many forums and have been given several answers, most of them not so good. Long story short, it looks like the amp's power cable "talks" to the...

Re: Help deciphering Ford's wiring codes (stock subwoofer)

I've made PROGRESS! Okay, here's what I've done:

Reinstall the stock head unit and plug everything back in.
Ensure that the subwoofer operates as expected. Passes with flying colors.
Undo a...
