Re: Power Steering Pump bad?

If the fluid level is normal, then don't worry about it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Question about ranger beds and remote start

A little common sense would tell you that a standard Ranger key FOB does not control remote start.
If you have a 6 ft bed then any 6 ft Ranger bed would work but there might be mild styling...

Re: Sticker Shock or I'm too cheap ?!?!?

$44,000.....even with big discounts, good luck with that Ford.
For big money I would expect a V6 and not a 2.3 ecoboost.

Re: Tuner for improved MPG 2011 Ranger XL 2.3?

2011 supercab 2.3/auto:

Ranger 2WD A-5 2.3/4 19/24

21 mpg overall is about it for a supercab 4 banger.

Re: Window Washer Tube Leak

I bought a 6 ft roll of tubing for my generator's fuel line. 25 cents down and $1 a month for 3 months.

Re: Can't Remove Tailgate on '09?

The only reason I can think of is possibly the truck's rear was damaged in a crash. They got it on there so it should come off.

Re: Heavy Hood

You have what is called a power dome hood. Ford Ranger hoods in 2001 were made of aluminum.

Re: Any thoughts on Rangers vs Nissan D21 (Hardbody)

Nissan Frontiers never had a rusting out problem but they sure did have auto transmissions blowing up due to leaking radiators allowing coolant into the ATF.

Re: Test Drove New 2019 Ranger

The slow V6 in the Tacoma will be around long after the turbo dies in the Ranger.

Re: A/C Compressor Whine?

Ford Ranger power steering pumps whine and there is a good chance that's it. Belt tensioner is a possibility.
You can replace all the parts you want but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: AC problems on the 97 2.3

What are the pressures?...

Re: 2002 heat vavle on 2.3

I owned three Rangers and logged over 175000 or more on each and never had a problem with a heater valve on any of them.

This valve is a part that really needs to be OEM.
