Re: Coolant reservoir not emptying itself, among other things

I'd second the above, but without the 2K revs. Just wait until the water level drops in the radiator, (t-stat open), and top it off, close cap. Done. Unless you have a little leak somewhere, then...

Re: Biiiggg stretch here....junkyarders unite!!!

Just fashion a piece of thin gauge sheet metal to replace the broken clip, use your ingenuity to attach it, usually can put a SMALL sheet metal screw into the escutcheon someplace to retain it... I...

Re: i have a new idea for this summer.

There is a lot of truth to the impact zone remark. i was a door release engineer for GM for 30 years, and and the doors are integral to the crash-worthiness of a vehicle, along with the windshield. ...

Re: First day my browser let me back on, what happened?

That is a fake attack site. It is commonly caused by surfing porn sites. What happens is that your computer is affected by malware (spy ware) that enters a few lines of code on your start-up menu,...

Totally agree, just got my Mustang dome light from him yesterday, a couple of screws, and for the first time since I bought the truck last year, I can see the interior after dark! Thanks!:)

Re: 2000 XLT Front End Impact, Air Bags Did Not Deploy

It is entirely possible that the angle of impact with the other vehicle was insufficient to allow the air bag sensors to detonate. There is a pretty narrow window of impact, usually about 10 -15...

Re: How to fix rattling doors?

One other possibility, check the door handle! My driver door clunks at times, but it doesn't seem to be loose. Then one day I noticed the same sound when I opened the door and let go, I heard the...

Re: need help with my investigation..

Your sister was taken. That wheel cylinder is as old as the rest of the brake hardware, which is probably as old as the car... Look at the attachment bolts for the cylinder, they haven't been...

Re: 70 mph tops??? What's going on here???

Check out the catalytic converter as well. Often an engine that will not run properly is being choked by excessive back pressure, the converter is clogged or otherwise damaged. Alternatively, it...

Re: window alignment

More than likely, your regulator is broken. The regulator lifts from the centerline of the glass, and if the glass is diving forward, then something is broken. You would want to pull off the door...
