Alright good to hear. It was the drivers side that was doing it. Just did the passenger side, and it seems to clear fine, and spacing is even.

Finally back to the project. I am running into issues with the caliper bracket not clearing the rotor. It's making a tiny bit of contact on the outside edge. I could easily correct...

You are right on that, it's probably never been changed in the 170k miles it has on it. I took the shafts out when I pulled the junk yard axle apart. First time in a rear end. Doesn't seem to hard....

Picked up an entire rear end from a 98 6cyl for 200$, so should have everything I need except pads. Rotors are actually in ok shape.

Awesome write up and info. I've been googling this for a while and other sites say it can't be done. Searching for the parts today to do this.

Just one question, you guys didn't have any trouble...
