Currently @ 158,000 and running like a champ. Change oil and filter every 2500 with Castrol High mileage GTX and Motorcraft 820S filter. This truck will out live me.

Re: 96 ranger low bem not working. Bulb is good

My low beam quit working on the passenger side only. High beam was OK. I simply ran a wire over from the low beam on the drivers side.

Now running Morimoto projectors so it all became a moot...

Re: Ridiculous dealer offer for my 06 Ranger Sport

Your story is my story, except for your low milage. Bottom line, our trucks are worth more money to us then they are to anybody else. I will keep mine for many more years. Runs good, looks good...

Re: Tailgate Ford Emblem

Wow, must be fewer and fewer folks driving these old trucks anymore. :D

Tailgate Ford Emblem

Does anyone know if the "FORD" blue oval on the tailgate of my 2005 FX/4 has alignment pins like the fender emblems do or is there just the double stick tape.

Thanx.

Re: Starting Issues When Cold

Thank you for the reply. Currently the situation is resolved. Possibly for the time being, time will tell. After cleaning the ICV the situation did not resolve. Next day and the day after there...

Starting Issues When Cold

Yesterday, for the first time I noticed my 05 FX/4 4.0 starting a little harder then normal after being off for at least a half an hour or more.

A search here had a few recommendations,...

Re: Headlights

I bought these aftermarket headlights and they are fantastic. Made by TYC and the quality looks to be very good. All the adjusters are OEM length and are compatible with the OEM adjusters if someone...

Re: What is the best year best engine best ranger best bang for the buck

Yes, easier to work on, but.....less power. The SOHC will give you many many years of trouble free service if you just change your oil a lot. I change my oil every 1500-2000 miles with a Motorcraft...

Re: Are Ford Rangers "Throw Away Vehicles"

I am on my third Ranger since 1988 putting a combined half a million miles on them. I have taken impeccable care of all three and have never looked upon them as disposable. To the contrary, I...

Re: Fender Flare and Grill paint?

Fusion works great on the flares and grille. I have used it myself with excellent results. My flares looked exactly like the OP. Removing the flares was no big deal, gave me a chance to do some...

Re: LED headlight bulbs

Well stated Cowboy. Like you said, just because they make it and just because it fits the hole, does not mean it should be done.

Take the time to do the proper retrofit with the proper projectors...

Re: easy rear view mirror swap with garage opener

Yeah, pretty much. Our last couple cars had Homelink on the Gentex mirrors and no problem programming them to our Sears openers. Works really nice actually.

Re: easy rear view mirror swap with garage opener

Now, I like that idea. Gonna get me one of those.

Thanx for that link.

If anyone parks their truck outdoors some of the time like I do, then I would suggest in wiring the homelink to a...

Re: Headlights

What he said. There is currently a vendor on ePay selling TYC housings for 37.99 a pair. They are good quality, I bought a pair for my HID retro. The adjusters are very good as well. Why bother...

OK, I guess I totally misunderstood the intent and meaning of your post. When you stated the part about having HID in the vehicle description, I assumed it was directed at me. I was wrong. For...
