Re: Transmission Noise

I have had a seized pilot bearing that only made noise driving down the road. It can do it either way.

Re: Suspension

This may not be the answer for the OP. But, removing swaybars for offroading goes back 40 years. It is not something New and is not unsafe to do. This is a truck, not a Ferrari. Taking corners at...

Re: dashboard removel

Read the link. I just did mine last month. Not easy, but not the horror it's made out to be. Remove cluster and steering column. I took column out whole. No need to remove wheel. Disconnect vacuum...

Re: Help will these work with spacers?

They don't make spacers that go from 5x4.5 to 5.5. I've had a set of those wheels and thought about it. You can't get spacers to make them work.<br/>

They have been making them for years. Jeep...

Re: Help will these work with spacers?

Most that post on spacers have never used them and know nothing about them.
As said earlier. They will put slight stress on bearings, just like rims can. Nothing that you will notice.

Spacers...

Re: Battery head scratcher

When starters get old, they can start to draw more amps to turn them. The tests run at the stores won't show it. You need someone to run an amp load test on it.
I take mine apart once a year and...

Re: Heater will not blow on any hi, med. or low

Look for plug below the fan in engine compartment. Two screws hold it in. Be ready to replace the wire pigtail. It likes to corrode and fall apart.

Re: Heater will not blow on any hi, med. or low

There is a relay too. Mine went bad. On my 95 it is located above passenger headlight. Don't know if in same place on 01. Just something else to check

Re: Heater will not blow on any hi, med. or low

May be relay or resistor. Test for power at resistor plug and work from there.

Re: Beeping on passenger side?

Damn, I took the bulb out, got tired of seeing it. Really don't want to pull cluster again. Need to figure out how to disable the beeper.

Re: Replaced Aternator, Now can't get belt tensioner back in place ?

You need an impact gun to get nut off. I just run both alternators up to closet shop and ask them to swap the pulleys. Might charge you a few bucks, if anything.

Re: advance auto agm battery

Remember to always keep an Agm battery charged. It will kill them to let them discharge all the way. If it is in a motorcycle, keep a float charger on it during down time.
