Plugged up the hole and idles great! Rode around the block and no power loss issues.

Here are some pictures of what I found/saw.

Just used the plug that I found plus some epoxy to plug it back...

sure enough that black rubber thingy I saw was the plug that was supposed to be in the intake manifold, took some pictures will post later now to plug that hole and get the PS pump back on

IAC was clean and not seeing any obvious missing pieces on the plastic intake that would've caused a vacuum leak.

changed wires, plugs and cleaned the MAF with electronics cleaner, had the battery disconnected for awhile and still poor idling, did my best looking around for vacuum lines that might be leaking but...

Other than these things the best way to get better MPG is to change your driving habits. I had a saturn that I would avg 32mpg in and when I changed my driving habits I was able to get into the 38mpg...
