BTW I never got to do the conversion and have all the parts to do it if anyone wants to do this Ill shoot you a price shipped for it all. Selling the truck to buy more camera gear

I picked up everything from a local yard for 65.00 and then new calipers from rockauto and semi metalic pads for another 70.00 so total of 125.00 ready to install...now all I have to do is get er...

By the time I gathered parts, it might be cheaper to just buy an exploder axle and throw it in especially if you plan to lower it

Well I got back from the salvage yard yesterday, I now have all the parts new and used to get er DUN! Ill start in a few days after I get the rest of the lowering parts

It should be OK Im thinking because the diameter of the tube does not change nor does the axle shaft diameter at the flange, on a 28 spline i believe it steps down at the carrier bearings..I will see...
