Yeah i know that.. hence the toggle switch suggestion.. flip it on and off like your setting the e-brake. Most of the ones i've installed i use the autostarts.. autostart your car, radio comes on,...

bypass switches are a waste of money.. all the deck wants to see is ground on that wire.. try grounding it out.. if that doesn't work just use a toggle switch for .30 cents.
