Excuse me for jumping in, but my 2002 3.0 was leaking from the timing gasket at the same location as in your picture. I removed the timing cover bolt (third up from below passenger side) cleaned the...

I found out why Codes P0765 and P0768 occurred after replacing the automatic transmission valve body separator plate gasket. Had not properly hooked up the electrical connector for the related shift...

And I forgot to mention in my intro that I have stopped (for now) the timing chain gasket leak by removing the leak site bolt, coating the threads with Teflon, and torqueing the bolt to 20 ft. lbs.
