Re: Wtf battery

I've had it for 5 years and this problem is only in the last few weeks, and I only noticed the sparking once...so maybe the wires have corroded? I'm not experienced enough to replace a whole set of...

So lets see if I can describe this accurately. I have a 1996 xlt and recently I've been having a problem where the truck loses literally all power (keythog won't even work). Strangely, the abs light...

Re: Uhoh (ABS Light comes on for first time in 5 years, won't start after)

Update: So it hasn't done the same thing since, but I noticed that all of my radio station presets were reset after the incident. The ABS light has come on once more since then, but I've started it...

Uhoh (ABS Light comes on for first time in 5 years, won't start after)

So I've had a problem with my truck not starting unless the gear shift is pushed all the way to the left in the past (3.0 v6 Ford Ranger XLT 1996), but today I noticed that the ABS light was stuck on...

Re: Anyone know wiring under the hood?

Yeah the thing that says the temperature, the direction you're going in, and has the roof lights on it.

Radio noise and keythog problems?

I'm having some issues with my Ranger (well I have hundreds, but these are very noticeable). Recently, my keythog hasn't been working very well when the truck is cold, actually I haven't really...

Ugly idle

I've had a rough idle with my truck for over a year, and as of a few days ago I have a new problem. The normal rough idle is just rough, it's definitely different than this one. This one feels like...

Anyone know wiring under the hood?

The temperature/direction indicator above the windshield recently came on in my truck after I fiddled with the wires while trying to fix my gear shift indicator a few weeks ago (it hasn't been on in...

Re: Gear shift needle is off - plastic piece broken under dash

I think my truck is falling apart

Ever since the problem with my gear shift needle breaking and always being a gear off, I've had some really strange issues with my truck. My side mirrors vibrate constantly, and it feels like my...

Re: Gear shift needle is off - plastic piece broken under dash

How hard is it to replace the assembly though? I am afraid to lose the wire in the tube.

So get this.

Today I was fiddling around with it more with a friend's help looking at the...

Re: Gear shift needle is off - plastic piece broken under dash

When tensing the top thin wire piece the needle goes back where it should, but when I let go it just goes back to being off again. Any ideas on how to keep it tense without paying the $150 that the...

Re: Gear shift needle is off - plastic piece broken under dash

Since the housing for the wheel (the white part) is broken, when moving the wheel it doesn't change the position of the needle, unfortunately.

Does anyone know the name of that part though?

Gear shift needle is off - plastic piece broken under dash

Hey everyone, so yesterday while attempting to put my truck into drive my needle moved over an entire gear, so it looks like I'm in low 2 when I'm actually in Drive. I looked under the hood per the...

Re: Everything having to do with gas is irritating me!

I just got 200 miles on a half tank of gas split between highway and city, now that the gas smell is gone. So I assume the problem other than that grinding is gone now?
