Re: Hows your GAS MILEAGE on ur truck? Let me know here.

Yep traveling from charlotte to erie, pa to pasadena, md. For the 100% hwy mileage I managed between 19.5 and 20mpg on each fill-up. Keeping it 70 or under really helps. Mainly set the cruise around...

Question Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

Yea I knew about the peak power and I tried finding some stock dynos and of the ones I found power doesn't really drop off too much until around 5800. But not really ideal to shift there though,...

Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

Yea and I'm just imagining things right? Do you also have an sct tune where you can adjust the shift points to where it shifts higher? because if not then the transmission will not act the same as...

Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

True but like I said it shifts automatically at 45mph and 5500rpms. I haven't double checked what it does when you put it in first but it's obviously greater than 45mph as 5500rpms isn't redline. I...

Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

Ok with some looking around in the DIY forum. I found the issue once I realized the throttle cable had a bout an inch of slack in it. She's good to go now lol ^_^ shifts like she should. Not really...

Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

WOT it shifts around 45 or so. Keeping it in first gets you a little further. I haven't driven it in a while but that's about where it was at. I'd have to go out there and give it another go but I...

Re: Hows your GAS MILEAGE on ur truck? Let me know here.

Best i've gotten was just recently setting the cruise at 70 leaving Pasadena, MD heading back home. Got 19mpg and filled up around 360miles. Worst around 13. Most of the time I get around 14-15.

Re: 2005 Ranger Fx4 auto downshifting issue quesiton.

1st accelerates to almost 50 mph just so you know. No where near hurting the motor at 35 let alone not being able to shift back down into 1st around 15mph. Any other automatic that i've driven hasn't...

Re: I have a Question/conundrum for replacing FX4 Bilstein struts

Ok cool that's what I wanted to know. And yea Don't know if they will work on stock or not but i'm not too worried about it.

And yea I know they're shocks, just my first vehicle with only Shocks...

Stalling? when stopping suddenly while mudding.

Ok, So another thing i've noticed a few times and didn't really think it was normal. While doing a little bit of mudding the truck will stall occasionally. Mostly if I wind up coming to a complete...

I have a Question/conundrum for replacing FX4 Bilstein struts

Hello, my issue is I have over 145k on my 05 ranger fx4 level ii. Now either I have the original bilsteins on the vehicle or the previous owner replaced them with bilsteins. The latter is very likely...

Re: Bed Hi-lift mount reinforcement?

That's what I figured, just wanted to make sure I wasn't over thinking it. Will probably use the larger ones to distribute the load a little better over the bracket. Maybe get some lock washers too....
