Re: Dvc sub box setup and build.

No you cant do that. You have to follow the amplifier instructions and "bridge" it to mono. Also depending on the voice coil resistance of your sub you have to be careful! If your amp is capable of a...

Re: Immobilizer???

Thanks to all the info here I was able to find some extra stuff. If you have an "S" on your key you have standard encryption and if you have "SA" (2011 and newer I think) you have 80bit encryption....

Re: Audiophile amp/sub wiring

Yes 1,2 & 4 is all you should need. "If" you were to connect pin 3 to anything you would connect it to the outer shielding of your RCA that you're going to chop up but I don't think that will be...

[QUOTE=mfernandes;486151]"Pin 3 Circut 48 Shield" = what does this means? Shall I conenct this to a +12V sourse with a fuse?

Re: Audiophile amp/sub wiring

It most definately will and you get the advantage of being able to use whatever built in sub controls (if any) are in the deck. FYI: you may need a Y connector for the amp input.

Re: Quick Question

Actually if it's only coming from your aux it sounds like maybe the ground loop is coming from whatever you are plugging into it. Ex. if you are pluging in a Zune (or is it Zen???) player and have it...

Re: Audiophile amp/sub wiring

I agree...a LOC is your best bet. It does look like you could solder the sub section to an RCA cable (as long as your amp accepts a mono input). That would allow you to use whatever sub controls that...

Re: ranger regular cab system

In a regular cab Ranger you can not fit 2 10's or 2 12's.....let me correct myself, you may be able to fit them but you will lose leg room and it will sound like crap! If you want good bass you need...

Re: Alpine Type S 10" Sub

FYI: In a Reg Cab Truck you have approx 4" depth max without loosing the ability to move your seat all the way back. That is also using just 1/2" MDF which is ok because the box is rather small and...

Re: Power wire for amp question

YES YES YES you should put an inline fuse on your power wire. To explain further it's not to protect your amp (as you said it has its own fuses) it is to protect your truck in case that wire was to...

Re: 2008 sport, will a double din dvd deck fit?

It will fit perfectly with that dash kit shown above. I have the same Alpine deck shown above and just did mine yesterday. You will need to trim off the upper and lower lips of your factory bezel....

Re: help with wiring --- signal ground vs chassis ground....

You can either tie them both together or just use the chassis ground. It doesn't really matter. I was confused about that to. I have no idea what the signal ground is for? But like I said it doesn't...

Re: Southwest Customs New System

Yeah not much room in the single cab for anything! If you plan on putting a system in you can kiss your jack goodbye or plan on sacrificing somewhere else like leg room. I put my jack in the bed but...
