I'm having the same issue with mine and I think its the power brake booster is bad. I have a ton of pedal after bleeding the lines and the minute I start the truck my pedal goes almost to the floor.

Then I would say you have a cracked head which i read somewhere was common on a lot of the 2.9 engines. Google it and it will show you where the cracks are. They had a design flaw on heads and...

Are you torquing down the bolts right. You have to torque them to a certain torques and then I believe one full turn after that.
