I just recently checked the pins on the obd that are supposed to have power the only pin that dosemt match up to my friends truck is pin 7 on his truck witch is a 99 ranger pin 7 on the multi meter...

I turn the scanner on but even with the scanner at advance auto parts says the same thing i dont know if this has anything to do with it but when i got the truck there was no dome light and still has...

Yeah i knew i had to reset the pats i just figured if the ecu was bad by putting another 1 mybe it would read the obd and i have checked all the fuses and they are all good i checked them yesterday

At first the fuse for my 12 volt was blown but even after i replaced it still nothing i tried putting another ecm i bought 1 from the junk yard with all the exact numbers but for some reason it wont...

Im new to this ranger forum but love this website well i have a 2000 ranger 4x4 extended cab stick shift and ever since i bought it i been trying to read the obd codes but never could tried...
