Simple Question = Single cab available?
My Ranger is getting tired and I think of buying a new one.
The Ford Maverick is cheap but I fear that in my area (New England) they'll become rust-buckets due to the uni-body construction....

My days of do-it-myself are largely over since I can't put socks on anymore (don't laugh, a good percentage of those here will get to that point, and next year I'll have my hip joints replaced and...

That happened to me, eventually I gave up and paid the Ford Dealer about $1100 to fix it all, runs perfectly now.
No kit that I know of.

Life moves on and I'm in my 70's now, with, as some of you will also be in decades--low back issues.
I used to do my own work, everything, body, brakes, everything but transmission work. When I...

Re: No studded winter tires in stock size, will smaller tire work?
Thank you, nice information. I bought:
Firestone Winterforce 2 215/70R15 98 S Tire, @ $72.69 each, $290, Walmart had the best price, and they mount for free. $15/ea to stud and a balance and...

Time to buy new studded snow tires and yes, I must have studs, and yes, I’ve run Blizzak stud-free (early soft rubber compound, so they were the best non-studded on ice). I do a good amount of...

Re: 2010 Plain Jane Ranger 2x "your front left bearings need replacing"
Thank you all. I pulled the rotor off (there’s a good tutorial here). I could not detect any roughness when spinning the wheel. The rear seal had been leaking but if I’m guessing correctly the...

Re: Shift indicator broken Ranger 2wd, plain Jane
Silly me, it's a 2010. If that helps. It sounds like a "do NOT take it to a dealer" issue... $1000+ repair...eek.
Yes, it is a column shifter. I've pulled dashboards apart over the...

Expected lifespan of a plain Jane 4cyl 2010?
I just flipped 100k. There's a rattle that sounds like a loose heat shield but also the slightest bit of "throaty" sound. I'm thinking a failed gasket?
As a general rule of thumb, what's the...
