check the bulb if you havent, the fuse for the interior lighting(location usually shown in owners manual), or the dash switch may be bad

I will try unplugging the IAC when it surges again, see what happens. Maybe I can just replace that.
I am not quite sure how to do a vacuum test and what does spraying carb clean at the base of...
