Found my problem. I dropped the thermostat housing bolt and it went to crankshaft sensor and smashed the crankshaft outer cuff and the sensor bracket. After a trip to the junk yard she's all fixed. ...

The icm has all bolts in it. There are new coils and new wires. Still nothing. I'm pulling my hair out now. The only other thing I can think of is the crankshaft sensor.

I had to redrill holes and retap them because the little factory bolts snapped off. I drilled/tapped 4 holes. I'm running up for the bolts now.

I didn't put them all back but I have 2 in with a wire direct to the negative battery terminal.

I only have the new obd2 tester. I do not have the first one, and the ranger has the older styler plug for the tester. I'm going to try eBay now. And thanks for the welcome, it's appreciated.
