Re: Replaced Steering Wheel in 1987 Ranger
Yes, the Grant steering wheel is smaller than the original. The only problem that I noticed is that the Grant wheel completely blocked the view of the turn signal indicators. So I was constantly...

Re: Fixed Fuel Gauge on 87 Ranger
There should be a diagram on the panel to the fuse box which will illustrate the fuse that goes with the fuel gauge.
If the fuse is ok, then more than likely its the fuel pump. However, since the...

Re: Fixed Fuel Gauge on 87 Ranger
I just made sure that the fuse was not blown and since it wasn't, I replaced both fuel pumps which fixed the problem.
The size of the tank is around 17 gallons or so. I have the long bed truck so...

I swapped the seats on my 87 Ranger with seats from a 2007 Ranger. It took a little ingenuity, but well worth it.

re: How to Install Door Speakers (1987 ranger)
Yes, that is a concern. I need to find a way to glue/secure the wires to the door hinge housing so that they don't come into contact with the moving parts.

You should be able to install the newer seats with a little fabrication. See how I installed my seats at:

My 1987 Ranger is off by exactly 3mph also. I wonder if its because I am using bigger tires than the stock tires.
