1996 ranger 2.3 won't start

1996 Ranger 2.3 I started it up and it ran for about 5 seconds and then just quit. Won't restart. Tomorrow will check timing belt. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Hey Jeremy, I'm down in Nampa and have two rangers, an 1988 4wd and a 1996 two wheeler. My 88 needs alot of body work but engine is strong after tuneup. Just got the 96. Give me a shout

Make sure the the IAC that you replaced was the correct one. this may sound stupid but it happened to me and I spent six months trying to figure it out. The part store gave me the incorrect one.

I had same problem and spent alot of money on the wrong parts. It is the IAC, just replace it. Problem will be solved.
