Yeah he obviously didn't do a good check but I would have never thought to spray behind the dpfe myself the only reason I found it is because I went to replace it.

Intake manifold melted, shop quoted me 225 to fix it, so I went to a junk yard and grab one off a 97 Explorer. Runs a lot better still get lean codes suspecting my catalytic converter next

Update: got the new manifold on started up great. Hopefully the hoses blowing off and blow hot exhaust on my manifold caused it to burn. I have run into one issue....the manifold I picked up came off...

Well I don't understand what made it burn. I know the hoses on my egr broke a while back and caused the vacuum leak and extremely hot air was blowing on that spot that's my guess

Got stuck in 4 Lo took off the electric motor had to manually put it back in 2 hi and cut the wires to that POS shift motor and tossed it in the trash. Going to put on a shiftster and manual hubs.

Well we can throw the MAF sensor theory out the window. Slapped the new one on and unplugged it and supposedly the trucks supposed to shutoff. Ran just like it did the other MAF sensor reset my codes...
