I don't know if there's a difference or not but I just looked and the truck side is 2 prong and the sending unit side is 4 prong on my 96 Powerstroke.

Hey Brandon have you ever heard of a 3rd brake light flickering on a 14 escape? I just noticed today that the 3rd brake light on my mom's escape flickers when you press the brake pedal

He never had any complaints about it. I'm not sure what his actual mpgs were but I know he was getting around mid 30s with mixed driving
