Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Yeah, you have to be careful with those yasps. I hear that they're almost as deadly as wasps! :)

Re: Best way to fix this window panel wear (pictures)

I used plastidip on mine and it has held up real well. If people have used it on wheels where there would be a greater chance of damage don't see why it wouldn't work there. Just prep it real well.

Re: Engine Cosmetic Mods

I know everyone's taste is different but I'm not sure that's something I'd do intentionally.

Re: viberation when running at 80 -90 kilo

I'm no mechanic by any means but I tend to go along with the theory that it's in your tires. I had the same problem with my Ranger, vibration right around 80 kph. After new tires and balance and...

Re: Black trim

Don't worry about these guys. Have you thought about Plasti Dip? Try one and see if you like it. If not you can just peel it off. In the long run it's your truck and you're the one that need to be...

Re: To Paint Canopy or Not to Paint - Your Opinion

I'm in the leave it camp. Hate black vehicles to begin with. Too hot and they're dirty again in 5 minutes. A canopy (shell) without insulation would get hot as hell.

Re: Wheelskins steering wheel cover advise

I have a Wheelskins in my truck. I did the regular stitch however in my new 2017 Honda Fit I did the Wheelskins with the baseball stitch. I told the factory what I was intending to do and they...

Re: Lets see your Ranger loaded up!

Just got back from a trip up to the U.S. Picked up a rowing shell for me and a kayak for a friend. Ended up driving about 4000 miles.

Re: Rusted Bumper - Replace with Black or Chrome?

This. I'm biased of course because I have an XLT with chrome bumper and grill. I think the all black look has been kind of overdone.

Re: How much does overdrive save on gas?

How much of your driving is on the freeway? I wouldn't expect overdrive to make much of a difference with stop and go driving on city streets.

Re: what type of boat do you own!?

Boats don't have to have motors you know. That looks like an Old Town Loon. I used to have one of those, great boat, almost indestructible. I would offer him (I assume it's a him) $300.

This is...

Re: The Ultimate Cross Country Road Trip Truck

I'm in, this should be interesting! Honestly think you're definitely going to need more than 2 weeks though. If you've got the time and resources 2 months would be better. Good luck!

Re: door ajar light goes on momentarily during lefthand turns

Not uncommon. I've got the same problem. If it goes off making a left turn make sure the passenger rear door is tight.

Re: Cost for a wheel alignment in your area?

Eat your hearts out. I supplied the lower ball joints but I had a shop down here replace the ball joints and align the front end for the equivalent of $35.

Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread

I guess it all depends on how heavy a load you carry. Would I want to carry 600 lbs up there? Maybe not. But that would be more about concern for the shell than the rack.

Re: Rangers With Camper Shells/Topper Thread

I had a rack made for mine. Used 1 1/2" square steel tubing. Mounted it directly to the topper.

Re: front bumper aligment help!!!

You shouldn't have to replace the brackets. Have you tried loosening up the brackets, re-positioning the bumper and tightening the bolts?

As a puppy.
