Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

Sorry I miss read your post. The 2.3 when a turbo is thrown on creates a bunch of torque. I've looked at a bunch of build threads on turborangerforums and a couple other forums and they make around...

Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

Sweet. Thank you. Any tuning required to run that trans with the 2.3? About how much power can this trans take?

Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

I'm planning on getting a 96-99 truck and using a 98+ ecu (unless I get a 98+ truck obviously)

Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

You guys really think 400whp can't be done with a 2.3? It's already been done.

Also pooleo will the 4r44e or 5r44e bell housing fit the 5r55e?

Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

No I don't but I want the trans to hold more power then the truck will make. I plain to use a sct tuner. Idk if that will beable to tune the shift points of a different trans? If not then I might do...

Re: Addapting a 4R70W trans to a 2.3

I'm looking for a 4 or 5 speed automatic that will bolt up to a 2.3 lima with minimal modification and that can handle around 500whp also with minimal to no modification. If there is a different...
