Update:
So after ~50 miles, it still runs fine, but here is what I'm still dealing with
DTC Codes
12 - IDLE RPM High
23 - TPS voltage out of range (new TPS)
26 - MAF out of range
41 - System...

Update:

So I drove it around about 30 miles.. Drives and runs wonderfully, great idle, great response, no complaints... Except... The dang CEL is still on! :(

Being a Jeep enthusiast, I'm envisioning a lift and 4wd on this thing...

A. Is it possible to convert a 2wd manual to to 4wd manual?...

It says not to use cleaner in the throttle body because they lined the plate with a Teflon coating to help seal it and keep it "self cleaned". The harsh cleaners eat the lining and can allow more...

I wait until the tire company threatens to not honor the mileage warranty on the replacements. :eek:

Otherwise, about a week of average driving.. Just depends on the "average" driving distance.

However, he isn't the most mechanically inclined and has been driving it...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve...

Simple thing to check... remove the IAC unit from the intake manifold, hit the two chambers with a healthy volume of Carb...

The 91 was an oddball... it appears to be the only 1/2 gen that offered the 3.0 and not the 4.0...

In 1991, your Engine choices for the ranger were 2.3, 2.9 or 3.0

The VIN has the engine model "U", 3.0; maybe Ford rounded up... I certainly wouldn't put it past them...
