Well thanks for the replies. Forgot to mention that you have to pull the fan shroud, fan clutch, and radiator as well as the p/s, a/c bracket (5 bolts-studs) to gain access to the timing cover. ...

Did not replace the timing chain as it had no deflection on the driver side and the sprockets looked fine. I agree that this would be the right time to replace it though. How long do these chains...

Well found the leak. It was coming from the driver side timing cover at the top. Took a/c, p/s bracket off and squeezed top hose. Leaking at a seam behind the water pump. To make a long story...

2000 xlt mysterious coolant leak
First time poster so bear with. I have a 2000 XLT 3.0 with 128,000 on it. Problem is I have a coolant leak somewhere on the driver side near the water pump but looks like it is coming from behind...
