89 model sounds like high mileage, so sounds like internal engine problems like cam or distributer broke if you have replaced all of these electronic components.

STL, these antenna are ok if you just have a stock cb, but if you are using a moded 10 meter rig like a connex then you will burn the finals up as those antennas are hard to get the SWR's low enough...

carry a gerber multitool in my bunker gear. Good for cutting wires, turning off gas meters, or whatever else I need a tool for.

Also have the small FuBar that i carry too, just slightly modified...

that sounds like a short in the ignition switch in the steering column, the actual switch, not the key carriage. Either that or a pinched wire that your clutch has hit. Hope this helps
