The POS aftermarket radio in my 97 base model truck that the previous owner put in finally died so for now I put in an Explorer unit that I had around. I did some cutting to match the truck's base...

Thanks for the comments. It turns out that the tube to the pneumatic valve was burned in half; apparently I must have moved it to something hot while messing around. I repaired it and now everything...

I have an ongoing problem on my 97 2WD 4cly in that the heat is constantly on, regardless of position of the location switch. The coolant level and radiator are fine and it is not over heating...

Leaf spring removal

I realize this is the opposite of what every one does, but is there any logic in removing a leaf in order to soften up the ride? I don't carry heavy loads, just hockey bags and occasional dump runs....

The heater control and fan nobs work fine...

I have the world's best heater. It blows hot hot hot. In fact it even blows hot when the AC is on. I get no cooling at all. Is this a thermostat problem?
