Appreciate the responses so far. Problem still not resolved. The shop I took it to quoted $550 to take the clutch and trans apart to find the problem. They found problems with both so a clutch kit...

No actually. I have not had it for about two weeks now, its in the shop. The main problem with it is what I first described but also it died on me a few weeks ago while driving. Had to have it towed...

Thanks. I have had the tranny fluid changed with no improvement. I do lean towards it being a clutch issue but I am not an expert so its just a guess.
The slave cylinder going would give me these...
