It is a whine in the transmission at a standstill in neutral but goes away when the clutch is pushed in. I can hear it a little in 2nd and a lot on 4th. Quiet as can be in 1st 3rd and 5th.

Ok I went by O'reilly tonight and this is what the scanner shows. The #5 injector I replaced had a broken tip and I was so sure that was my issue. The new motorcraft injector tested out at 15.1...

I wouild recomend pre 2001 heads with 8mm valve stems. The later model heads with 7mm stems seem to have a lot more problems. There is even a TSB issued by ford for 04-03 rangers.

Yes, coil pack and plugs (motorcraft) replaced 2k miles ago. I accidently left the intake temperature sensor unplugged and got a CEL and then it went away after plugging it up then coming back on...

My stock clutch was Luk so that is what I repalced it with (aftermaket on Amazon). Not sure if aftermarket is the same quality as Luk from Ford.
