I'd like to find a painless way to wire a coolant temp gauge in my truck, something a bit more reliable than the factory temp gauge that always defaults to the middle position after the engine warms...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you bought it used. If you're going to drop the pan, change filters and such, might as well do a flush too, flush out your lines and trans cooler too.

Thank you both for the input. I figured that some resonance would come from the casing of the muffler itself. I never would've figured that exit would have been that critical.
