Re: F150 axle?

Brake line connections are a different size. The rangers ubolt flange will bolt to the axle, the driveshaft will be to long depending on lift height.

Re: SAS swap+lift

Motor is held up by mounts now. They still need to be braced and boxed, but I wanted to see how much the coils drooped. The bolts are obvious fitment bolts not the final product. Couple of the welds...

Re: Sas quick questions

I honestly don't know with the 5r55e, but on the older trans you have to completely disassemble the trans to swap the rear output shaft and tailshaft housing. Way not worth IMO.

Re: Sas quick questions

2wd trans has a different tailshaft housing than a 4wd trans no tcase is going to just bolt to it.

Re: SAS swap+lift

First off I hate flux core, but was out of gas and everything is closed. Penetration is good and I lifted the truck with the mount so I assume its fine. Have to work later today so only got one mount...

Re: SAS swap+lift

Basic gist of the motor mounts plans. Plate on the block is 3/8th, the pair of ramps is 1/4. I am however out of gas...so tack with flux and purchase some 75/25 monday.

Re: The time has come... My SAS/8.8 swap begins prematurely

Yea my exhaust rubbed the shackle the entire time I have had it lifted. Never caused an issue though.

Re: Ranger rear axle swap

Remember its not a 4.0 so 4.56/4.88 puts the 3.0/2.3/2.5 into its useful torque curve. 4.10's wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

Re: Solid axle swap

Outside of the f350 fords did not have a solid axle in the 80/90's 1979 was the last year for half tons with a solid d44. F350's had ttb d50's from 80-86 and then solid 60's from 86-97. 150/250's had...

Re: Ranger rear axle swap

3.73-> 4.10 is a waste of time. Try and go 4.56/4.88 if you want any disconcertable difference.

Re: long arm dana 30 help

Mine uses the stock crossmember. For ideas take a look at what the xj guys use everything is pretty close size wise.

Ironrockoffroad has one that should be pretty simple to adapt to a ranger.

Re: ZHILLZ build - 02 with d44 and 9"

Good find on the axles. Chromo shafts for the 44 are damn near worth what you payed. What are your plans for the front driveshaft? The factory tcase has a stupidly setup output yolk for that gen...
