Brake line connections are a different size. The rangers ubolt flange will bolt to the axle, the driveshaft will be to long depending on lift height.

Re: Sas quick questions
I honestly don't know with the 5r55e, but on the older trans you have to completely disassemble the trans to swap the rear output shaft and tailshaft housing. Way not worth IMO.

Basic gist of the motor mounts plans. Plate on the block is 3/8th, the pair of ramps is 1/4. I am however out of gas...so tack with flux and purchase some 75/25 monday.

Re: Ranger rear axle swap
Remember its not a 4.0 so 4.56/4.88 puts the 3.0/2.3/2.5 into its useful torque curve. 4.10's wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

Re: Solid axle swap
Outside of the f350 fords did not have a solid axle in the 80/90's 1979 was the last year for half tons with a solid d44. F350's had ttb d50's from 80-86 and then solid 60's from 86-97. 150/250's had...

3.73-> 4.10 is a waste of time. Try and go 4.56/4.88 if you want any disconcertable difference.

Re: long arm dana 30 help
Mine uses the stock crossmember. For ideas take a look at what the xj guys use everything is pretty close size wise.
Ironrockoffroad has one that should be pretty simple to adapt to a ranger.
