The electric brakes make all the difference in my opinion. The 3.0 has plenty of get up and go, its the stopping that's always worried me.

Will removing a sway bar link or the sway bar entirely let it flex like a straight axle? no. But it will allow the front end to flex more. The purpose of the sway is to restrict independent movement...

Mine did the same thing...adjusted the cover so it sits a little higher. It's been that way for years with not problems. If I ever take the cover off I'll have to do something to protect that...

You could run 32s if you really wanted...I run 31x10.5s on my stock 2wd with no rubbing.

That may actually fit in a standard bed, depends on how far about those boards are behind it but if they're 16" OC it may work.

As for paint I say have it powdercoated.

edit* there really isn't anything to go into detail about, the coil packs gone bad and needs replacing. At least this is the typical fix for that. I do find it odd that...
