Usually low compression is cause by either bad rings, or bad valves/valve seats.

I don't imagine that this will screw anything up. It's probably just a 12v signal to the motors, no feedback. If you are really concerned you can cut the connection back to the truck and just use...

Yeah, check oil. With that lit, verify oil level before doing anything, including driving. Does it run weird? CEL on? Scan for codes?

Good question. Ball joint? Random bushing wearing out? Sway bar end links? Best thing to do is a physical inspection, just look for anything that looks broken. Jack it up from the frame and see...

Spyder makes some interesting looking headlights. They do a shit job of throwing light, which is what a light is supposed to do! Halo's are add-ons, they can be used for signaling, but they don't...

Depends on which engine it has, and if you can do the work yourself. Around here, a 2wd 2.5l '98 regular cab truck would go for $3k to $3.5k
