so i was just wondering if anybody knows if the 2004 your model (look at sig) has a balance shaft because ford couldn't find a balance shaft chain at all. they did a vin specific search and nothing...

wow that's so weird that just using an aftermarket tensioner made all that noise. i always use ford or motorcraft parts i get them really cheap off rock auto.

ya i didnt drive it the second it started.

and the thing is i take such good care of it. not sure why it happened, only use synthetic oil and change it very regularly.

yes i submerged it in oil and primed it. not sure why it would start making a noise by just replacing the old one for preventative maintenance. sounds a little like chain rattle or valve tick. why...

just to let everyone know im talking about the hydraulic chain tensioner not the serpentine belt tensioner and yes i did prime it and it is legit ford part.

so what happened was after i replaced the back hydraulic tensioner with a new one (just for preventative maintenance) the engine on the upper left side is making a bad ticking noise like a lifter is...

so i found the fuse in the passenger kick panel it was a 10 amp fuse which was blown so i was like sweet an easy fix, so i replaced the fuse and it still doesn't work. what do i do now?

it was hard to tell in the video but i had a noise like that once and it was a combo of just an old belt and the water pump bearing.
