It is possible for the wrong hub to cause the 4WD not to work, as for the wrong wheel bearing, I dunno. Ask to take a look at what they are talking about before you tell them they are full of BS.

I bought some Firestone Winterforces for my Ranger. $58 a piece from Tire Rack. They are awesome in the snow, and I have a 2x4. Directional treads too!

You may well indeed have a plugged orifice tube. My truck did the same thing, and before I did anything about it, it stopped blowing hot air. I lucked out. Your orifice tube is located right below...

More than likely, your regulator is broken. The regulator lifts from the centerline of the glass, and if the glass is diving forward, then something is broken. You would want to pull off the door...
