Replacing the sycros requires a rebuild of the trans. I bit the bullet and just ordered a used trans with 63k and a 12 month warranty for $500 earlier today.

So my friend(who is a mechanic) thinks that the syncros are bad on my truck. How much would it cost to fix this? He also said it would be cheaper to put a used tranny in. Is that true?
