Re: Ranger is dead

All the above. Try to jump start it and when it's running, disconnect the negative battery cable. If it dies pull the alternator.

Re: Help , Radio Bezel Lighter Wire

It's a standard spade connector. Pull it straight back, just be sure to have one hand on the can to keep the entire thing from pulling through the bezel. You might also be able to use a flat tip...

Re: Custom Centre Console - Lets see some pics!!!

Still working on the interior, so it's not even anchored down. Fits tight enough that it hasn't moved yet.

Re: Loud belt squeak at start and 2000 rpm

Did you replace the tension pulley or the entire tensioner? I had to do mine a couple weeks ago when I noticed the belt was riding off center on the pulley. It also had an intermittent squeal at...

If you need one as an example, just pull one from the top of the instrument cluster surround.

Re: Size of OEM spare in '94 Ranger?

Ford had optional locking mounts around '85 that placed the spare in the bed. On my '86 the spare mounted in the topper out of necessity, it was lowered.

Re: Hard water stains

Straight vinegar. Works on fish tanks, coffee pots, and pc water blocks. Warm it up and use fine steel wool in small circles.

Re: Center console besides explorer

Built one. Still needs a few more coats of piano black, power outlet, and adjusting the cup depth, but it works for now. Holds my 24oz coffee cup(not the one in the picture) and is deep enough for my...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread

Got my center console to the point of being usable. (Ignore the carpet, it still needs to be replaced.)

Re: Dash lights quit!

Not really. Radio bezel, knee bolster, instrument surround, then cluster. Along with some wriggling, it is fairly easy as long as you pay attention to all the wiring. Biggest hassle is the gear...

Re: Where to buy dashboard lights in Ontario, Canada?

That's a bulb for one of the warning indicators like the check gauges light. The cluster lighting bulbs are 194's and there are 6 of them. Pull the one closest to top center of the cluster, it should...

Re: Brake Line/Hose Replacement - 94 XLT 2 dr

Tank may be wedged in place as well as the fill tube and fuel lines holding it. The fill tube is just a piece of hose that goes between the tank and filler cap.

Re: Cup holder for new style seats

It looks suspiciously like the one in my f150. Knowing how Ford likes to recycle, I'd bet it actually is the same (and the f150 is a '95).

Re: Passanger airbag question

If the bulb is out, then the airbag indicator on the dash should be lit. When you first start the engine it will blink the error code and then switch to always on.

Re: What am I missing??
