If I am able to find an 8.8" out of a ford ranger, does it bolt right in place of the 7.5" ? I know that a 8.8" out of an explorer needs to have the leaf spring mounts. as well as others flipped.

I know the Ford 8.8" adds strength to the rear end, but I do not want to take on this axle swap. Also, opinions about the rest of the list of prospective upgrades, not just the gears.
