Re: Long post but please help

I've checked all the fuses and they're good. Code reader plugs into OBD II not the lighter.

Re: Heater/AC control replacement lamp

If you pop the radio bezel off you should be able to pull the heater controls out, unless I'm mistaken.

Long post but please help

Good morning,

Truck was in a wreck in summer 2015 (airbags deployed). I dumped in a new long block, along with brand new belt driven accessories and I replaced everything below the frame in my...

No Crank after new engine initial startup

So I put a new long block in the truck, along with a laundry list of other new parts I'll post in my build thread. Anyway... put the new engine in, along with all new belt driven accessories. I did...

Re: Holmes' 06 XLT 4x4

Thanks. Yeah it's a lot to do but I've got good help. I think the real time crunch will come if I end up rebuilding the engine. I've been pricing it and between parts and machining costs it's only...

Re: Holmes' 06 XLT 4x4

Well, I've been in Iraq and Syria since December and saved up some money. This truck is still sitting in my garage as it has since I wrecked it in July of 2015 just before I moved from Eglin AFB to...

Re: Steering shaft extension HELP

LARES 204 is the part on rockauto. Listed as steering coupling assembly. 17 bucks. In my opinion you may as well do it while you have it out.

Re: Torsion bars stuck in control arm

The only way I've ever done it is to soak them in a ridiculous amount of penetrating oil, heat with a torch, and then beat the ever loving crap out of them. How hot did you get it before you started...

Re: will 02 ranger rear bumper fit 93 ranger.?

Front bumpers are a different story I think, and the mounts may be different on explorer rear I'm not sure. Fairly certain you're safe with almost any ranger bumper though.

Re: will 02 ranger rear bumper fit 93 ranger.?

Should be fine to bolt it right up.

----------

I'm 99.9% certain the rear bumper is interchangeable 1993 all the way to 2010

Re: Camouflage 4X4 Ford Ranger

To cover up different colored body panels when they don't want to pay for a paint job? If you look at the driver's door margin where it meets the fender you can tell this thing took a hit.

Re: idle increases....

I'd start with cleaning the IAC really well and check for small vacuum leaks.

Re: Securilock PATS

I'm not sure but I think if it was easily removed there would be a how to somewhere because the entire system is a PITA and everyone would want to do it. So i guess what I'm saying is that nothing is...

Re: Oil pan replacement

Advice as far as should you replace it? You can get piggyback style oil drain plugs and JB weld around the one that isn't supposed to come out if you don't want to replace the whole pan. They are...

Re: Securilock PATS

Dumb question here but have you tried starting with the other key?

If you have and it still doesn't work you may be up a creek. The only way I know of to get the PATS reset is for a...

Re: What is the dumbest thing you have ever done in your ranger?

I don't think so. Airbags blew so the fuel pump shut off as soon as the boulders happened. Changed the oil and it wasn't milky. It runs but it isn't happy about it. Radiator got pushed back a bit by...

Not of the truck in the water no. But I've got pics of the truck as it sits now and will post them up on my project thread this weekend.

Re: What is the dumbest thing you have ever done in your ranger?

Drove it over some boulders at 35mph and into the bay (pretty much the Gulf of Mexico because they're attached as my girlfriend puts it) by accident. Who knew that road dead ended into the bay 700...

Re: Holmes' 06 XLT 4x4

VERY LONG, somewhat sad and crazy update follows:

Sad to report that I wrecked this truck back in July of 2015. (Silver lining: It's not fixed but I still have the truck.) Driving in the dark in...
