My '99 did the same thing with oil pressure, put a new sending unit, (Switch), fixed it. Also mine needs to warm up or stalls too. Don't know about temp sensor issues though. haven't checked that but...

Got my first Ranger ('92) in '02 with 3.0 ext auto. Great truck, two transmissions later, 207k sold. Newest is a '99 Sport 2.5L ext 5spd. Coil pack mods were surprisingly simple and very effective....
