well ive got a replacement tstat now. should i try to get rid of the air bubble first? If so, how do i do that, ive tried running it with the radiator cap off.

i used the premix. i change the timing belt, water pump, but i diid not do the thermostat. seems strange that it would work before but not now. anyone else seen a tstat fail with the system...

i let it run for a bit with the heater on max and radiator cap off. the coolant level didnt drop in the radiator and the fan stays on from when i start it up. the temp gauge still does not...

i dont think its the thermostat because it worked fine before. I think my problem is too much air in the system. the haynes doesnt say where the bleeder valve is. does anyone know where i can find...

after a few weekends i finally got it put back together again. my problem ended up being the fuel pump, but the timing belt got replaced as well. thank you everyone for all of your help.

Thanks for the reply, ill be giving it a try again tomorrow when the sun comes up. i'm having a hard time swinging that tensioner, its not easy. ill try different angles for more leverage.

timing belt tensioner

Hey guys, does anyone know if i can install a new timing belt tensioner without using the old spring? its a bitch to get it on, can i just tension the belt manually?

i think he means that you should try putting a little oil in through the spark plug hole. when that oil coats the inner walls of the cylinder, it will improve the seal between ring and cylinder...

well, i tried the harbor freight impact wrench, think it goes to 200 or 250 ftlbs but it didnt break it loose. Im gonna have to do a breaker bar, the crank goes clockwise when i hit the starter yes?...
