(under center dash, behind passengers airbag, passenger side kick panel, under trim behind drivers seat).....

My keyless entry has goten to wher it works intermittantly. I bought a new fob with the same results. Could this be my module going out??

If so, what models interchange with my 99?

While looking up the part, I discovered there are two VSS....the one you spoke of in the rear diff and, another in the tranny.

Should both be replaced?

Problem solved. Replaced the wiper motor and everything is working correctly.

Wiper/multi-function switch

This is from a 99. Bought it for my 98 only to find out AFTER I swapped it. 99 and 98 are a different part number and not compatible.

$25 + shipping......what I've got in it.

wipers work only on high, will not park either.
New multi-function didn't solve it.

replaced all known relays....any other ideas?

Passed road side radar.... speedo is DEAD ON!!!

Must have hit the needle on the tach, its way off.

Any method to calibrate the tach?

The tach seems to be off by only a couple hundred so I'm not real concerned. But since I'll have it out......is there a procedure to calibrate it as well?

Rats!!! I had to disassemble it earlier to connect the shift cable.

I installed a Sport Trac speedo today in my 98 Ranger XLT 4x4. My odo stopped in mine so, I figured if it had to come out I'd replace it with the white faced I wanted.

"Trucks" to me suggests road ready and/or complete vehicles that are ready to drive (including off road, competition, show, etc.).
