The seats could be out of a Bronco II or an STX ranger which had buckets. A 4 speed and manual t-case was standard at the time, that's what my '84 had also. Sounds like a normal one! Pictures?

Probably will, I have a hitch that's been on an 84 and a 97 and will be going on an 05 soon also. They're pretty universal for all Rangers.
