Thanks eveyone, I think I found the problem! Someone had taken the fuel sending unit out and for some reason they removed the pressure regulator, so the pressure from the fuel pump goes directly to...

No, it blows the hose off the fuel pump in the gas tank, if I tighten the clamp any more it will break it. I'v had 3 rangers and have changed a lot of fuel pumps. This has happened 3 times in 2...

hose on fuel pump blows off
My 1998 rangers hose from the fuel pump to the fuel sending unit keeps coming off. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks
