Key wont engage

So I finally got around to fixing this problem. When you turn the key on the column it doesn't engage the ignition switch. I just redneck engineered it at first and it's been this way for a while....

Might be a simple answer. But what all is needed to replace the flywheel? Thought the starter was bad but the teeth are pretty much gone. It's a 96 2.3 5 Speed.

It's probably your fuel cut off switch underneath the dash about where the passengers feet would be. Might've came unplugged. Look in your book or google. Simplest fix ever.

I have a 96 ranger and I tore up my back bumper pretty bad pulling a buddy outta hole. I'm looking for a new one. Anybody know where I can either get a new one or at least look at ideas for a new one...
