If you want to change all the injectors, which i though of, you will need to get a plenum gasket because you have to...

noise when coming to a stop

Hello everyone!

My 01 Ranger makes a gear noise of some kind when coming to a stop. Sometime its very loud, sometime no noise at all for a while.

Any suggestions to where to start looking?

The idle is a little rough.it doesnt go under 1000rpm. I had a mechanic look at it, he said he never saw a coil wired backward. Still looking for advices. Also ive notice a female plug on the middle...

Thanks for the response. According to the Chilton's manual, they are connected exactly in the reverse order than factory.
I've already replaced the spark-plugs/gaped appropriately.
