Alternator was not up to the task, didn't realize I only had a 95 amp. Bearing in this thing were shot and the voltage regulator was draining my battery. Upgraded to a 370 amp JS alternator, also...

A coat of epoxy primer for maximum corrosion resistance and seam sealer to keep the salt out.

Extending the rocker panel all the way to the back of the corner. No more cavity with a piece of plastic plugging up the hole.

The cab corners are shot and of course there are no replacement panels for this cab style so I'll have to make my own.

Got the panels welded back in after tackling the rust. Reused the panel on this side as there was only some light surface rust.

Got the truck up on a lift and inspected the u-joints. They look ok from visual inspection but I grabbed the drive shaft and was able to move it a bit from the transfer case and in the differential....

Laquer thinner or some sort of paint clean up liquid. As long as the clear coat is intact underneath you should be able to wipe it away given they painted it with rattle cans.
